Remembering Dad When I think of Father's Day the first thought that pops into my head is of my "Daddy".   He had a way of always making me feel safe, as though nothing could harm us in our home because Daddy was there to protect us.  Even as a grown woman with children of my own and a husband, there were many times that my father was the first one I went to when I needed to make a big decision in my life. I still have the Father's Day card I gave to him the year that he passed away.  It was of a little girl tugging at her father's pant leg and it read, "Little girls still need their Daddy, even when they're all grown up.
