(One per customer with a $25.00 purchase) Florist Tips  - The Best Time to Re-Pot Your Plants I don't think there is one clear answer to this question but there are some hints you can take from your plants.  If the plant roots are showing on the surface of the soil and/or you see roots coming through any drainage holes in the bottom of your container it is time to re pot.  You can also get a good look at the root system by tipping the plant out of its container to see if the roots are massive and root bound. When picking the container to transplant to, go up only one size (4" pot increase to 6" pot).  Spring is ideally the best time of year to re pot because the days are long, the sun is shining and the plants are in good condition to withstand the stress of re potting.
